Christmas right around the corner and the winter wedding season upon us. But, I can’t help but think back to dreamy fall weddings. I’m so fortunate that I had the pleasure of being a part of so many this year. Whitni and Jake’s Sweetwater Creek Park wedding was one of those, and I can’t wait to share it with you on the blog today. The two love birds tied the knot this past fall on a Monday in an intimate outdoor ceremony that fall wedding dreams are made of. Between the changing leaves on the trees, the precious details they crafted themselves, and how gorgeous Whitni looked in her hand-dyed dress, their wedding day was perfect in every way. (Can I mention that she dyed her dress herself? It was absolutely stunning!)
Like I’m sure I’ve mentioned in previous blog posts, Sweetwater Creek Park is a favorite spot of mine for photographing couples and taking long, relaxing hikes with my other half. Not to mention, especially in the fall when the leaves change colors and begin to fall! So when Whitni and Jake told me they had decided to have their wedding there, my eyes became hearts. It was the perfect backdrop to their truly magical wedding day. Their big day was overflowing with so much love in every moment and detail of their day.
Needless to say, I couldn’t get enough of their gorgeous portraits we took before and after the ceremony. The oranges, reds, and browns against their grey attire made for the dreamiest photographs. But, it was the love that radiated from them with each one that made my heart melt. These two are almost too darling for words. As you can see with their portraits, they just couldn’t help but look at one another with complete and utter adoration. It’s no secret that this couple was crazy in love. I think that the first photograph below of them kissing in the leaves has to be one of my favorite photos from their whole day.
As much as I loved all of their portraits, there’s another one that stopped me in my tracks. I also can’t get enough of the photograph of Whitni kissing her son on the cheek after the ceremony. Her son had the opportunity to be a part of the wedding ceremony, and he was absolutely too cute for words. There was so doubt he loved his momma and what that day was about! He couldn’t help but celebrate by busting a move all night on the dance floor.
Whitni and Jake, your wedding was one that fall dreams are made of. I am so honored that you allowed me to be a part of your truly magical wedding day. I hope these snapshots of the beginning of your forever together are ones that you can look back on and cherish for the rest of your lives. Your wedding day was filled with so much love that overflowed from you, your families, and your friends. It was truly unforgettable. You two were such a joy to work with, and I can only hope to have more precious couples like you in the future. I sincerely wish you all the happiness and well wishes in the world as the new Mr. and Mrs!
