While it’s my passion to love and serve my couples well through my photography business, I also have grown to cherish the chances I get for networking and building long-lasting relationships with other creative professionals in the wedding and event industry. Today on the blog, I can’t wait to share with you more about one of those professionals that I absolutely love. I first met Cathy back in the summer of 2016 when she moved to Georgia from Texas, and we immediately became great friends. When her and her husband moved to their new home at the end of November of this year, you may remember that we had that record snow storm a couple weeks later. Instantly, Cathy and I both thought, what better way to celebrate moving into a home than with a West Georgia snow day session!
Cathy and Rob are such a darling couple, and their fur baby Beaux has a way to make your heart melt and make you laugh with the looks he gives you at the same time. He absolutely loved the snow, and Cathy had to hold him on a lease to keep him from playing in it long enough to snap some portraits. It was such a joy getting to capture all the love this little family had and their excitement for this next chapter of their lives. We even all went to dinner afterwards to keep the celebration going! It’s safe to say that we captured the perfect Christmas card photo to introduce their new home to all their family and friends during the holiday season.
As if moving into their first home wasn’t enough of a new adventure, these two are off on an even bigger adventure now. After years of planning beautiful weddings under her own business as a certified wedding planner, Cathy and her husband just announced the launch of their new brand and business, A Hosting Home, this past week!
Cathy’s passion for her business has always been rooted with a heart for hosting and a passion for helping her couples be intentional on designing their wedding day as a space to gather together and celebrate one of life’s most precious days. With their new business and brand, she really wanted to combine her love for styling spaces and hosting with heart with Rob’s passion for creating and woodworking to help others design whatever space they’re in with that same intention – whether that be a couple’s wedding day, a party, or even something as simple as hosting friends and loved ones in the home.
It’s safe to say that A Hosting Home is going to be the ultimate source for styling and inspiration with handcrafted decor, furniture, and custom wedding ceremony backdrops. (Watch out, Chip and Joanna!) I couldn’t be more excited to support them on this new adventure and follow along to see what they’re going to do next. Congratulations, Cathy and Rob, on an adventure-filled year!
