One thing that I have always loved is travel. Not only do I love to travel in the traditional sense of getting jet-set whenever I can. But, I also love to explore the mountains. (I bet you didn’t know that a great hike and camping get-a-way is definitely one of my favorite things!) While we actually lived in Colorado for a time, we eventually followed our adventure loving hearts back to the North Georgia mountains. While I now typically do more mountain and outdoor adventure engagement sessions more locally at places like Sweetwater State Park or Hobbs Farm Park, I was so excited to make the drive up to Helen, Georgia a few weeks ago to hang out with Shelby and Lawrence. We had so much fun celebrating their upcoming big day with a super sweet Unicoi State Park engagement session.
First off, if you have never had the change to visit Helen, Georgia, it needs to be on your must-visit list soon. Residing in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Helen is one of the most visited cities in the state despite it’s extremely small population. It’s Bavaria charm and gorgeous natural beauty in the heart of the mountains makes it the perfect location to get-a-way, explore, and make memories. It was the perfect backdrop to their already sweet-in-love session.
Meanwhile, at Shelby and Lawrence’s Unicoi State Park engagement session, making memories is exactly what we did. I loved getting to hang out and explore with these two love birds as we celebrated their engagement. Shelby looked so pretty in pink and was absolutely glowing during their portraits. Not to mention, my heart couldn’t help but melt at the way Lawrence looked at her in adoration. It was such an honor getting to capture a snapshot of the love that these two held for one another. There is not a photo in their gallery that doesn’t showcase just how in-love these two really are. It was so easy to get lost in their cuteness during our entire session!
Shelby and Lawrence, I absolutely loved getting the chance to help you celebrate your engagement with your Unicoi State Park engagement session. You two were such a joy to be around, and I hope you’ll cherish the memories we captured on this day for the rest of your lives. I can’t wait for your gorgeous fall wedding at Yonah Mountain Vineyards in October. See you at the altar, Shelby and Lawrence!
